Lecture Series

WCAC cooperates with the Williamsburg Regional Library and the Richmond-based Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, to host a series of art lectures in the fall and winter of each year. These lectures are free open to the public. They are held on selected Monday evenings between 7:30 and 8:30 in the Library’s auditorium, 515 Scotland Street in Williamsburg.

To confirm times or for other similar questions, call the library: (757)-259-4070.

The schedule of Fall Lectures will be posted in late summer, and the Winter/Spring lectures will be posted in late Fall.

College Art Scholarships

Each spring, WCAC awards college art scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the Williamsburg, James City County and Bruton District of York County School Districts.

The scholarships are awarded to the seniors who best demonstrate an ability in art and who plan to continue their education at the college level with art as a major interest.

Scholarship Applications are available now and must be submitted to the gallery by Saturday, May 4th. Portfolios should include 8-15 digital images of original artwork representing the student’s areas of concentration (e.g., painting, drawing, pottery…). Details are included on the application form.  Applications are also available as 2019 ScholarshipApplication.docx or 2019 ScholarshipApplication.pdf files
