Lecture Series

WCAC cooperates with the Williamsburg Regional Library and the Richmond-based Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, to host a series of art lectures, Centuries of Art @ your Library, in the fall and winter of each year. These lectures are free open to the public. They are held on selected Monday evenings at 7:30 on ZOOM or in the Library’s auditorium, 515 Scotland Street in Williamsburg. See the current listing for the location.

To confirm times or for other similar questions, call the library: (757)-259-4070.

The schedule of Fall Lectures are posted in late summer, and the Winter/Spring lectures are posted in late Fall/early winter.

College Art Scholarships

Each spring, WCAC awards college art scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the Williamsburg, James City County and Bruton District of York County School Districts.

The scholarships are awarded to the seniors who best demonstrate an ability in art and who plan to continue their education at the college level with art as a major or minor.

2023 Scholarship Applications are due at WCAC by Friday, May 19.

The 2023 Art Scholarships are sponsored by Ron & Patricia Rapoport.

Buddy Art

Buddy Art is a free program of art classes for children with disabilities or special needs. WCAC offers the classes in cooperation with the student volunteers from the College of William & Mary and the James City County Department of Parks & Recreation. Read more about Buddy Art or view the Buddy Art Photo Albums.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Buddy Art has been temporarily cancelled. We hope to resume Buddy Art in the Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 term.
