Come to an exhibit, and/or feature your work in one!
We host at least seven exhibits annually at the Blue Building – 110 Westover Avenue that are designed to create and foster awareness and exposure for both emerging and seasoned artists. The artists’ mediums include watercolor, photography, pottery, woodworking, oils, acrylics, encaustics, etc. They are free and open to the public, with special members’ previews on Monday nights prior to each public opening.
This year, we will continue hosting two of our most popular and well attended annual shows – High School Student show featuring local area students–see more about this show below, and our annual Member’s Show held in June featuring fine art in a variety of mediums produced by our members. Both shows are juried by recognized artists in their field.
In addition to these mainstays, we have introduced three new concepts this year. In an effort to offer member artists more opportunities to exhibit larger bodies of work, we have scheduled three Members’ Co-Op Shows which will run as follows: April 4-May 12, July 5-August 11, and August 15-September 22. We are also featuring a Juried Regional Art Show and a special Small Works – Holiday Show open to both members and non-members.
