Lecture Series

We co-sponsor the Centuries of Art @ Your Library lecture series!

Four speakers are scheduled for the Winter 2019 Centuries of Art @ Your Library season. These lectures are made possible by The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center in partnership with the Williamsburg Regional Library and guest speakers from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. They are free and open to the public. Our lectures begin at 7:30 pm and usually end before 9:00 pm including time for Q&A.

January 14, 2019 – Congo Masks: Masterpieces from Central Africa –  presented by William Neer

February 4, 2019 – Love in the art of the ancient regime (or Love in the Art of 18th Century France) – presented by Don Schrader

February 11, 2019 – Edward Beyer and the Jeffersonian Landscape – presented by Jeffrey Ruggles

February 18, 2019 – Audio Visual: Music in Art – presented by Margaret Hancock
